Jasbir Singh Suropada: Vice Chair – Sikh Interfaith Council Victoria
Jasbir Singh Suropada is the Vice Chair with the Sikh Interfaith Council Victoria (SICV). He is a member of the Casey, Cardinia, City of Greater Dandenong Interfaith Network, a member of Multi-faith Advisory Group (MAG), an Executive member of the Faith Community Council of Victoria (FCCV), Former Member of the Community Advisory Committee Southern Metropolitan Cemeteries Trust (SMCT) and member of Spiritual Health Victoria (SHV).
Jasbir is an active participant at interfaith forums – such as: The Royal Children’s Hospital on Religious and Cultural Diversity in Spiritual Care, The Conference of World Religions “Peace & Social Harmony” (Ahmadiyya Mosque, Melbourne), the Alliance of Religions (HWPL) Peace Dialogue (Melbourne) and the 2015 World Interfaith Harmony Week (Parliament House, Melbourne), for instance.
He regularly leads meditation sessions at Sikh places of worship and youth camps, provides services as a Sikh Chaplain and is a Senior Practitioner with Anglicare Parentzone.
